Editor, Ink World Magazine
Digital printing will be the focus in Orlando, FL from April 25-27, as InPrint USA 2017 joins ICE USA 2017 at the Orlando Convention Center. With an eye on expanding its successful European presence, InPrint is making its first appearance in the US. Early numbers indicate that there is strong interest in the show. “For ICE USA, our registration numbers are tracking ahead of previous shows, and we have exceeded our forecast for attendees for InPrint USA,” said Melissa Magestro, EVP of Mack Brooks Exhibitions, who is organizing the show. “We are definitely expecting the most visitors we have ever seen at ICE. Companies are seeing the value of our having these two shows together, as being able to learn about converting and inkjet equipment at one show is a real benefit.” InPrint USA’s goal is to bring together manufacturers who use print as a key component of the manufacturing process with leading brands in the fields of industrial specialty, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D technology print solutions. For its part, ICE USA 2017 is being held in the Americas for the fourth time, and will feature more than 250 exhibitors from the packaging, paper, nonwoven and self-adhesive industries. Among the ink manufacturers on hand for InPrint USA are Afford Inks (booth 1538); Agfa Graphics (1625); Dubuit America (1321); EFI (1320); FUJIFILM (1311); INX International Ink (1431); Kao Collins (1714); Marabu North America (1304); Nazdar Ink Technologies (1314); Proell, Inc. (1421); Sensient Imaging Technologies SA (1704); Sun Chemical – SunJet (1701); and Wikoff Color (1417). Ink manufacturers are bringing new technologies to InPrint USA. INX Digital will highlight its AnaJet m-Power i-series digital apparel printer and CP100 UV digital cylindrical printer at InPrint USA. The company will also show home décor and packaging displays that use INX’s Prodigy brand inks. AnaJet is one of the fastest direct-to-garment printers in the industry, while the upgraded CP100 UV digital cylindrical printer is designed for promotional products distributors. INX Digital’s Prodigy water-based, UV curable and solvent inks are designed for industrial applications. SunJet will highlight solutions for functional, industrial and specialty print applications, including graphics, décor, textile, industrial and packaging. Sun Chemical Advanced Materials will show its SunTronic range of products for printed electronics applications. For industrial applications, Sun Chemical will highlight SunHytek heat and humidity-resistant ink solutions for high-tech, appliance panel and automotive applications; SunCarte high peel strength, color consistent screen and offset inks, adhesives and varnishes for laminated plastic cards; and SunPoly screen inks for container substrates. Agfa Graphics will highlight its UV and water-based inks, as well as its low-migration inks for food packaging applications. The company plans to show printed tubes and containers, customized shoes and personalized PET bottles. Fujifilm will highlight its new Fujifilm Inkjet Technology for package printing and industrial markets, including print engines and new inks. For example, FUJIFILM Dimatix’ new Samba 4300 Series Printbar System uses Fujifilm LED UV inks in a roll-to-roll configuration.
